Nurturing Students' Potential with the Circle of Courage Framework

Nurturing Students' Potential with the Circle of Courage Framework

The Circle of  Courage is a transformative framework for nurturing students’ potential that empowers  individuals to cultivate holistic growth and excellence. Rooted in the indigenous wisdom of  the Lakota Sioux, this model emphasizes four key pillars: belonging, mastery, independence,  and generosity. Through the Circle of Courage training, participants embark on a journey of  self-discovery and skill development, fostering a deep sense of belonging in a supportive  community, honing their expertise and mastery, gaining the confidence to embrace  independence, and nurturing a spirit of generosity to give back to their communities.

Target Audience: Teachers, Paraeducators, Administrators. Full day-or half-day training.

What’s their Why? Understand Students Unexpected Behaviors

What’s their Why? Understand Students Unexpected Behaviors

All behavior is a form of  communication. We will discuss students' unexpected behavior and the why behind that  behavior. We will explore myths and reality related to behavior issues observed in  schools. Participants will learn the four functions of behaviors. We will discuss the social  skills, lagging skills, and unsolved problems that students may be missing. To plan effective  behavioral intervention strategies, we must first decipher their WHY.

Target Audience: Teachers, Paraeducators, Administrators. Full-day or half-day training.

Independent Work Systems: Success for All!

Independent Work Systems: Success for All!

All students want to feel a sense of belonging,  mastery, and independence. For students with complex learning profiles building  independence can be challenging. Oftentimes, these students are educated in self-contained  classrooms or assigned a one-on-one paraeducator. Teachers and paraeducators don’t  always have the knowledge to include these children in the general education classroom and  inadvertently create prompt dependency in students. Independent work systems can  increase student engagement, improve accurate task completion, improve student  productivity and independence, and decrease the need for adult prompting and ultimately  reduce student problem behavior.

Target Audience: Special Educators, Paraeducators. Full-day or half-day training.
